DEPOSIT

To place an order and secure a date, we require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the amount of the quote, which will be deducted from the final cost. The deposit is not refundable under any circumstance except if Vichinoise Cakes cancels your order. In that case, we will notify you as soon as possible, and we will reimburse you the amount that has already been paid as soon as possible.

BALANCE

The balance is due by the collection / delivery date.

If you pay by cash, then we would appreciate exact change. If you pay by bank transfer, then Vichinoise Cakes must receive the balance before the collection / delivery of the product.

If you don't accept the final product, then the deposit will not be refunded. You may either pay the balance and take the product or leave it without paying any additional fees.

POSTPONEMENT

If you need to postpone your event for whatever reason, then please contact us as soon as possible. Your deposit may be transferred to another date subject to our availability.

PRICING

Each cake is priced individually based on the number of portions, the choice of flavours, and the intricacy of the design.

TASTINGS

Cake tastings are reserved for wedding cakes with at least 60 servings. This service costs €40 for two people. If you decide to sign the contract, however, then the fee will be deducted from your quote.

PORTIONS

The size of the cake depends on the event (whether the cake will be served as dessert or finger portions). Please refer to the chart below to get an idea of the number of portions that each size will yield. If you are uncertain about which size(s) to select, we are here to guide you.

If you would like to add height to your cake without increasing the number of portions, then we can incorporate dummy tiers in polystyrene into your design. Alternatively, if you would like extra portions without adding height to your cake, then we can provide you with cutting cakes that will remain in the kitchen until serving time. Although these cakes will be covered in sugar paste icing, they will not be decorated.

REPRODUCTION OF MODELS
If you would like your cake to be modeled after a design from another artist, please note that Vichinoise Cakes will take elements of inspiration from this design but will not reproduce it. Out of respect for the original artist, Vichinoise Cakes will not copy a design exactly, but rather decorate your cake with their own style, all the while adhering to the main theme.
MODIFICATIONS

If you would like to modify your design, then please notify us in writing as soon as possible. We will review your request and endeavour to implement the change. Modifications may incur additional fees.

DELIVERY AND SETUP

Delivery and setup are available for wedding cakes with at least 80 servings. We typically deliver to venues within the Ile-de-France area. If your venue is further afield, however, then please contact us to see whether we can accommodate your delivery.

Delivery and setup of the cake cost €2.00 per kilometre based on the distance between our studio in Les Clayes-sous-Bois and the chosen destination. Alternatively, you can collect the cake from our studio free of charge.

DAMAGES
Vichinoise Cakes is not liable for cakes that are damaged after collection / delivery. The person responsible must sign a collection / delivery note attesting that the cake was collected / delivered in satisfactory condition.
DIETARY REQUIREMENTS AND ALLERGIES

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any special dietary requirements.

All of our cakes contain allergens and are produced in an environment where allergens are used.

Nos gâteaux sont garnis avec la crème au beurre à la meringue suisse qui consiste à cuire des blancs d’œufs jusqu’à une température de 70°C minimum. Pour des personnes ayant un système immunitaire plus faible (les femmes enceintes par exemple), il est conseillé de consulter un professionnel de santé si elles ne sont pas certaines de pouvoir consommer nos gâteaux.

Vichinoise Cakes is not liable for any allergic reactions or other dietary reactions to their products.

INEDIBLE DECORATIONS
Your cake may contain inedible decorations and supports such as ribbons, flower picks, dowels, cocktail sticks, straws or polystyrene. These decorations and supports must be removed prior to the consumption of the cake.
PHOTOS OF THE CAKE
Vichinoise Cakes reserves the right to take and use photos of your cake for marketing purposes without compensating you.
